Already announced Molly Caudery (GBR) will be joined by reigning joint world champions Nina Kennedy (AUS) and Katie Moon (USA) in a highly competitive women’s pole vault at the London Athletics Meet on Saturday 20 July.
Kennedy and Moon shared the gold medal at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest last summer following a scintillating competition which entertained the crowds throughout the whole evening programme.
For Kennedy, it was her first world title, building upon the Commonwealth Games gold medal she secured in Birmingham back in 2022.
As for Moon, the reigning Olympic champion has won back-to-back world titles, so will add fierce competition to a superb pole vault line-up.
World lead, new UK record holder and world indoor champion Molly Caudery was announced last month for the women’s pole vault field, adding further firepower to the incredible field.
The London Athletics Meet – which will see the return of the world’s best athletes to the London Stadium following a record-breaking sell-out in 2023 – is the tenth meeting of the 2024 Wanda Diamond League series. Taking place six days before the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, the event will serve as the perfect prelude to Paris.
Tickets to the 2024 London Athletics Meet start from £23 for adults, £5 for juniors and are on track to sell-out in record time. Secure your place to the world’s biggest one day athletics meet at https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/35005F106C4B097B
