UK champion and Paris-bound Louie Hinchliffe joins an exciting men’s 100m line-up for the London Athletics Meet on Saturday 20 July.
Joining world champion Noah Lyles [USA], the UK’s number one so far in 2024 will race in his first Wanda Diamond League meeting just a few days before he heads to Paris for his maiden Olympic Games.
Hinchliffe catapulted his name into the spotlight when he became the first European to win the men’s 100m title at the NCAAs in June. The Sheffield-born athlete returned to the UK to compete at the Microplus UK Athletics Championships last month, storming to victory to book his place on the team for Paris.
The 21-year-old, who is coached by nine-time Olympic champion Carl Lewis, joins an exciting line-up of athletes for the world class meet taking place at the London Stadium on Saturday 20 July.
The London Athletics Meet – which will see the return of the world’s best athletes to the London Stadium following a record-breaking sell-out in 2023 – is the tenth meeting of the 2024 Wanda Diamond League series. Taking place six days before the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, the event will serve as the perfect prelude to Paris.
Tickets to the 2024 London Athletics Meet start from £23 for adults, £5 for juniors and are on track to sell-out in record time. Secure your place to the world’s biggest one day athletics meet at https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/35005F106C4B097B
